Jose Zelaya is a character designer for Disney Junior's hit series Mickey and the Roadster Racers and The Lion Guard. Born in El Salvador, Zelaya moved to Los Angeles at the age of twelve and quickly began exploring his passion for drawing and art at Poly Technic High and later earned a scholarship in animation from Crain/Royer Studios in Santa Monica, California. His additional Disney Television Animation credits include the Annie Award-winning Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Recess, An Extremely Goofy Movie, Lilo & Stitch: The Series,American Dragon, The Emperor’s New School, My Friends Tigger & Pooh, Phineas and Ferb, Kick Buttowski,Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Minnie's Bow-Toons. He has also worked on Futurama, Spiderman, and Curious George.
